I am an asian who doesnt have any lid, so no creases above, and they sometimes have tips for asians but hardly any for no lid girls like me! in a couple of weeks itll be my prom and i want to look perfect, including eye make up! but any tips will always be of help. Make-up tips I have a crease on one eye and not the other...? Well, it's actually quite strange. I am asian, and a few months ago, a crease on one eye developed (I, like most asians, naturally only have eyelids, not creases). Ok, but then it disappeared. Now it came back. The only problem is, my other eye doesnt have a crease. So when I put on makeup, it looks all uneven. Hairstyles For Asians? Asians have very a very different hair type from Caucasians and I was wondering how should I get my hair cut? I have pretty long hair, a little bit past my boobs and it's a normal thickness. My friends say I should get it in long choppy layers. But last time I got layers done, the tips of my hair turned up. My hair is straight, not super straight though. I want to spice up the look a bit. I don't go for hairstyles like mowhawks and I don't like short hair. I have mostly curly, some wave, and a lot of frizzy hair, what products will work well? I'm half asian half english. Mom unlike most asians with sleek hair has frizz, pure frizz...and dad he has tight ringlets so i must have taken the worse. Two years ago i had my hair chemically straightened and as it grew i have spent everyday blow drying and ironing it straight. I've decided to leave it curly and had a trim done. I'm suprise though my curls have "dropped" slightly. I don't know where to start with products, i have tried redken fresh curls and it doesn't work at all. I also use coconut oil..im not sure if thats good for the hair. While we were working today a very funny/strange thing happened? Well at our university today, we were helping new kids move their stuff in and stuff (lol) and we were getting very sporadic tips. And all of the sudden we had to move this Chinese guy's stuff and his parents were with him and as we unloaded his stuff into his room both my friend (who was working with me) and I silently laughed thinking what are the odds of us getting a tip here and all of a sudden the father of the Chinese kid turns around and whips out a 20 dollar bill and gives it to us. How do I make friends with my neighbours? After living in the same neighbourhood for over 20 years, I'm now moving to a new neighbourhood in another country. I'm Asian, but we're moving to a neighbourhood where all the neighbours are from different nationalities, origniating from either Europe or America. I would like to make friends with the neighbours, but I'm unsure how to go about it and also apprehensive on whether or not they would make friends with my family, considering the different cultures. I have studied abroad in my life and have had extremely negative experiences with racism, and while I have no knowledge of how my new neighbours will react to Asians in the neighbourhood, I'm afraid of a negative reaction from them... What are the safest products or tips I can use to bleach my dark brown hair to platinum blonde? ok, first of all, I have dark brown, but not so dark that it's black. I currently have a pale blonde (almost white) stripe on about 1/3 of my bangs and partly on the side of my head, but it's not very much. Anyway, I went to a salon that I really don't like or trust the skills of a person, but I had no other place to go to, so the hair dresser bleached my hair and it is slightly damaged. I honestly think the damage is her fault because she can be very careless at times. The woman told me that my hair will fry and break off the instant I bleach it all, but I've heard of tons of people bleaching the fuhh out of their hair and it is hardly damaged at all. (Ex: Scene queens, black haired asians) I'm going to go to a walk in salon where I bring my own products and they style my hair for me, so what are the best and least damaging products and deep conditioners out there? (Please don't mention roots, I know about them.) Also, does anyone have any helpful tips? Oh, and what are some good home-root-touchup products that leave slight damage? I love the way light hair looks, I want it. Another reason I want my hair to be so light is because pink hair dye will show up beautifully and vibrantly in it, which is what I want. With that said, I have been stiffed by pleny of white, asian, and hispanic people. In my experience, asians who are not from the US do not tip very well at all, and neither do the tourist from European countries, and this may be because tipping is not required where they are from. I have also waited on rich white people who were worse than any person from the ghetto could every be. I had one lady lie to my manager by telling him I told her to screw herself! She almost got me fired, and I never said that! Also, some of these rich white people I have waited on would order something, and when I brought it out, they would say they never ordered it, but they ordered something else! Much worse! Just read a question about tipping? I just read an interesting question on here about tipping. I had read a survey once about tipping amongst races. It read that generally speaking, blacks and asians were the worst tippers, whites were the best followed by hispanics. Is there any credibility to this? Another survey, which has nothing to do with tipping read that the happiest people to the most miserable were in the following order: married men were the happiest, single women next, single men next and the most miserable were married women. What do you think of both these surveys?

I need some tips? Ever since I found this website my self-esteem has dropped dramatically. I used to be spunky, upbeat, kind, always wanting to make people happy. Now I find myself gloomy, depressed and unsatisfied. I need to become more confident, and more assure of myself. Do Waiters discriminate based upon race and age when providing service to first time customers? I tip 20-25% for good to great service and usually nothing below 15%. I'm always polite if not downright friendly. However, I feel like waiters/waitresses discriminate upon me and assume I will tip poorly because I'm Asian. I do know that many Asians of my parent's generation tend to be poor tippers but that is usually a cultural phenomenon since tipping is not a common custom in their native countries. Nonetheless, I feel this type of discrimination is now placed on me despite the fact that I'm an excellent tipper and I'm friendly. I do notice that I receive significantly better service when I'm with my caucasian friends. I've overheard an acquaintance criticizing people of color for tipping poorly which led me to my suspicion that I might be potentially discriminated against. If you are a server, are you aware. And are there any customers who have been discriminated against simply because of their ethnicity or age?

why nobody built decent WCs at Puttaparthy Bus Terminal ? why are BLACKS more DISCRIMINATORY than WHITES nowadays? im never a racist. i just noticed that while working here in Bermuda as a waiter. why is it being different is so hard for americans to understand??? I'm Chinese and live in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood for almost 4 years. While i have friends that are hispanic, it seems like for many of my neighbors, its hard for them to accept me as chinese. Sometimes, they say "hey chino", parents don't seem to mind that their kids are being ignorant of others, people make jokes about asians when i walk by. so why is it so hard for them to accept me as a different race without being ridiculed or thinking they are superior to asians? Help!!! Sea Salt Spray!? I tried putting Sea Salt spray in my hair but it won't be curly/wavy! I just put Sea Salt from the Dead Sea and mix it up with water. And spray it in my hair. It won't work! Is it cause I have "Asian" Hair? Not racist, but most asians have really silky hair (I do). Could that be the reason? Is my hair to silky to curl? I tried using a curling iron but it only stays curled for a while (Like, an hour). When I go out, it keeps getting straighter and straighter. I can't use hairspray or mousse because they make my hair tangly later and they don't really help keep my hair curly. I don't want to get it professionally done every week. Some tips to help my hair stay curly. When I curl my hair at night and use hairspray and then sleep, I wake up it the hair is like, kinda, frizzy. I can't curl my hair in the morning when I'm about to get out because, the wind blows at my hair and loosens up the curls (Even when I put hairspray in the hair). Help!!!

friends (:? In my choir class there are a few groups of people. The loud "better" people, who've been in choir longer than the rest, who is favored by our teacher. the sophomores, they were a group before the class. the asians and the freshman. then there is me! I don't have a group, I'm kinda.... stuck in the middle. It was never hard to me to make friends.... until this class, I don't seem to fit in with anyone. they kinds all seem like they are too good for anyone else to join their "group" which makes it very hard, because we spend sooo much time outside of class and in class socializing. I talk to a some people every now and then, but I feel like I'm just annoying them. hahah. what are some tips on becoming better acquaintances with people? personality traits people tend to like? what are some things that annoy you about classmates? thanks

Hi I'm a 20 year-old Asian girl living in Australia and I'm looking for a plastic surgeon who's experienced in performing Asian Rhinoplasty. I don't want a dramatic change to the shape of my nose as I don't want to end up looking like a Caucasian. I do want to augment the bridge of my nose and make the nose tip more projected. Frontally, I look fine. My nose is small; it's not wide or bulbous but I just want to bring my nose forward in order to have a stronger profile. how should i wash my dry-ish hair? i'm 'asian' but my hair is thick, wavy, and dry. it's mid length-so it goes down to my chest. since it's a holiday today, i have to wait till next week to get a trim. now, i'm about to go wash my hair, but i don't know how exactly i should cuz it's dry. i think i'm washing it wrong. i read alot and found out that i shouldn't use shampoo with sodium-but i have no choice right now. so should i just use about a dime size amount of shampoo and only put it on my scalp? then for conditioner, do i wait till my hair's dry or put it on when it's wet? and where? any more tips? i want to have silky straight hair like most asians have-like(look at the icons): http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=200865691 but thats kinda impoosible for me even tho i already had jap hair straightening, but i still want something close at least XD ...thanks!

What do you think about nail salons? What is over the top? let me put my questions in order: 1. Why do white women always get white tips?And not hot designs? 2. Why is it the majority of Asians work in nail salons? 3. I love getting my nails done with nail art. I know they are white tips, French manicure. But apparently one individual got paranoid and offended when I spoke about it. White tips are fake tips with "manicure" And by the way it does NOT look natural it is so obvious that it was done by the salon with tips. I am a valuable nail customer! I put on tips let my natural nail grow out a bit then I take them off. And get the acrylic put on then get hot designs. like right now mine are half painted black with gold strips white strips diamond studs with gold glitter. AWESOME!!! I tell you. so white tips seem so boring an played out. I've had black tips. Or pink tips with gel. so it looks unique. I don't know I'm really artistic. so I just wanted my question answered. As for Asians working in salons. I made friends with one. She's really cool.
