How much does a MAC make-up artist make....I live in Alberta Canada? I am going for my third interview for a counter position for a part time MAC cosmetics girl. I have 5 years of on counter experience, certified in make-up artistry, and at one point of my life was a former counter manager of another line. We haven't discussed wage yet, but does anyone have any ideas? I live in ALberta, Canada. Also any hints or tips to get the job with my interviews coming up???

Any green make up tips? I got loads of mac eye-shadows off ebay but there are some green colours that I never use, I don't want to waste them but I can't make them look nice at all!! Any tips for sharing files between Mac and PC when I buy my new MacBook Pro? I have had to use a PC for work for the past 7 years but I am now going freelance as Digital Producer mainly producing broadband video content for the web (flash video) and also moving into music production (edits, reedits and learning music production using Logic Pro). I have bought a 320GB Seagate hard disk and will be buying top end MacBook Pro (can't wait!). I used a PC and Mac in my previous job designing web sites, and seem to remember that I was forever overcoming gremlins of sharing files! I am hoping this has improved since than, and specifically I want to know if there any rules or tips I should follow on filenaming, formats etc to ensure I can share files across PC or Mac. Lots of my files with be vidoe formats (mpg2, mov etc) The MacBook Pro will be my main machine and I will still use Sony Vaio laptop or a PC for some things (testing etc). I want avoid fruitless frustrating hours due to incorectly named or formatted files and other things. Any tips or advise is welcome.

Can someone tell me how to perfect my make-up? So I rim the inside of my bottom lid with black eyeliner, and then wear eyeshadow on the top. Any tips for a long-time Windows user having just moved over to Mac OS X Tiger? I've recently moved over to using Mac OS X Tiger from Windows. I absolutely love everything about it, in terms of stability, interface, and just the clean and organized mood it sets off around it. My only concern was how much longer it takes me to complete tasks on OS X than it does in Windows (I've been using OS X for about two weeks .. and it still takes longer). Are there any tips out there from anybody that has experienced the same thing? I hope it's something I can get used to, I just haven't yet (which is rare)

How can I make my homemade Mac and Cheese less gritty/bland tasting? I melt butter and add flour to make a rue. Then I whisk in milk, and add in the cheeses to melt. The cheese sauce is always very smooth and creamy, but it has this slightly gritty texture and it's a little bland. I'm sure it's probably the flour that's causing the gritty blandness. Any tips??

Help which brand!??make up tips? I have used covergirl for years. I used continous coverage and loved it. the new stuff they put out in place of it sux hardcore! Not even the shades match up!! I got some of the other covergirl and it makes my face oily. the clean version has noxiema which burns... I tried perfect shade stuff by loreal i think it was too thin. Are your reasons for buying a Mac over PC clear?: No viruses - Macs can get viruses. Not as often as Windows, but they can. Also, Apple takes a longer time to fix flaws, while Microsoft does it faster. Also, a good anti-virus program on PC's could help you. It just works - So does my PC and anyone with a brain Better than PC - If you've bought a cheap PC, then you haven't been living the real life. Get a high-end PC (Sony Vaio, LG, Samsung,etc.), and experience life without frozen screen, slowdown, or any problems. Better design - Yes, than most Dell's and HP's. But have you seen Sony Vaios? LG laptops? Something besides the common PC? They're just as sexy too. And not as expensive. Simplicity - On Vista, the OS is just as clean and easy to go through than OS X. Many claim Vista copied OS X, but they really enhanced some things that already existed. Zero bugs - Mac users have experienced bugs before. Computers in general do. Mac is no different. Multimedia software built right in - Is it that hard to buy a media software package and install it? Vista has some nice tools for average users to use to work with media. And so does Adobe. Some of Apple's iLife apps. would be hard for average users. Run Windows on a Mac - If you have Boot Camp and Parallels, they're ok. But you can't run it over OS X. OS X still has to be the main default system on your Mac. So you're not truly running it. And it can be slow and buggy. Why use Windows if you have a Mac? You're just paying extra. AppleCare service - Can be sometimes bad. The first time they'll do it right, but the 2nd time, they can be a bit off. And calls to send things in can get mixed up. Works right out of the box - So does my Vaio. Any good computer could. So what do you think? I want to make sure users know what they're in for. Am I right? You can add more or comment. @Brian: Sigh. Sad to see another misinformed user. Viruses have hit unprotected Macs before. I don't know where you get your news, but it has happened before. Not often, but it has. Hacking into Macs has also been uncovered. I never said that Mac's freeze or get BSOD's. NOwhere did I say that. I said that sometimes OS X can get rather slow. On my sister's iMac, there's horrendous slowness. And those problems you're talking about are associated with the cheap PC's. Sony Vaio has won several design awards. Did anyone buy Kim Kardashians products in her make up tips and follow her advice on makeup? Did you like the products, especially her lipstick. I was very dissapointed by all her lipstick reccomendations- Angel by MAC, Belle De Jour by nars and lip liners, stripdown and subcultures. The turkish Delight gloss by NARS was gooey and had a horrible color. Angel was not a moist lipstick, was drying and it gave me a malibu frosted babrie look. the Nars lipstick was dull and dry. Then I ordered the eyeshadows she reccomended by MAC, carbon, kight divine, embark, and print.. These were ok but nothing better than my usual drugstore dark eyeshadow.. I also ordered the MAC pressed powder she reccomnded in my shade, it was awful and turned me orange. The only products i liked she reccomended were the MAC paint pot in Painterly-- great base for eyes.. The Photoshoot Primer by Nuit-- works nice Everything else sucked.
