Can a nail salon mess up or make your fill in turn out JUST OK? Do other nail salons do it better? OR is a fill in just a fill in and theres nothing to it? i am a hair stylist that just switched salons a few months ago what is the best way to build up my clientele? i have been doing hair for 3 years but a lot of that time i worked part time as a receptionist and the other doing hair. this past december my salon got new owners and changed the whole salon without a lot of notice. Has anyone ever had a slimming body wrap? You know the kind that salons claim will make you lose inches? I have been on a diet for the last month and already have lost 5 pounds, but I want to be just a little slimmer for the wedding I'm going to be in next week. I am 21 and dont know how to apply makeup; the only times I have had it is the rare wedding and even then my mom or my sister apply it but I think they do it wrong or they are biased because each time, I cry because I look like a drag queen (to myself at least). Make up for the wedding? What is airbrushed make up exactly the benefits the negatives? The make up artist said this is what she will be doing, is it better or worse? I am paying like 3400 for hair and make up from this salon for 4 people so I don't want to be scammed out of my money, and I know NOTHING about make up. Yes I am paying it and I am in NYC. Permanent Make-up, the good the bad? I am wanting to get permanent eyebrows for the reason that when I was young I over plucked and they never grew back right. Career as a make-up artist? I have long thought it would be fun to work as a make-up artist. Plus, the transition is easier than most career changes because the training course is short and relatively affordable. However, I have no manual dexterity and I can't draw or paint to save my life. I am not looking to be a super successful make-up artist; I might be content just working part-time at a department store or salon. ($ not important) However, I don't want to do something I will be bad at. Is make-up artistry (at this level) something pretty much anybody can learn to do or does it require a certain amount of natural talent?
