- if u want to wair liquid foundation then just put some on your finger and put little dabs of it all over your face then try to rub it in as evenly as possible then u have to make sure that it is blended in to your neck u don't want to have a line. pouder foundation take the brush fether it in the powder for e second then brush it over alll the parts of your face. when using foundation make sure that it is the right color for you skin u don't want it to light or dark. blush for picking out your blush at a stor put a little bit of it on the palm of your hand make sure that it is not to light or dark when appling up a little bit on the brush and then put most of it on your cheek and the rest varry lightly put a little bit on the rest of your face. eyeliner for your first time using eyeliner only put it on the top lid and get it in a lot of colors like pink, light brown, dark brown. black, blue, greeen, and purple. experiment with different colors befor whereing them out of the house. apply as close as u possibly can 2 your eyelash do not put tooooo much on u still want to look like yourselfe when u r alll done. eye shadow just go to clair's and by the big eye shadow that has like every color. u want your eye shadow to mach your outfit and your style. when applying eye shadow get a little on the brush and rember y can allways add more and it is hard to get it off do not apply it past the end of your eyelash. maskara if u have light hair then don't get black get brown or blck brown when applying put it up to your eyelash and blink untill the hole lash has maskara on it. welll that is alll the advice i can give e-mail me if u neeed more halp Izzy

- Hi Anne. Um, I do know a few things. The best is about how to blend your eyeshadow. It is very important to have pure white in your arsenal, as well as pure black. Matte. Apply the eyshadow with the little sponge-on-a-stick applicators, not a brush! Blow off the excess before you apply, too. Here is the example, with black and white, which can be used to do colors too. Put base and powder on your eyelid. Put several layers of white above the eyelashes, and under the eyebrow. Directly above the crease, put the black. Then, still using the aplicators, slowly add white to the edges of the black, so that there is a level of gray inbetween. It's a slow process of layers and blending, but the efecct is very striking and much more airbrushed looking. Use a brush at the end to blend it a little more. This works really well if you want to draw the crease higher than it really is to make your eyes look bigger. If you want to do a color, like say pink, you would shade that on your lower lid, and above the crease. Add a small stripe of black to the crease, and a good couple of layers of white under the brow. Blend the pink up to the crease, CAREFULLY, SLOWLY, and then put some pink between the white under the brow and the black in the crease, blending it darker going down and lighter going up. Or, you could use the color in the crease, blending it with just white or lighter shades of the same color. If you are using a pencil liner, get a soft one, and use it before the eyeshadow. Then after the shadow is on, use a bit of shadow that matches the liner over the liner. For a crisp line, use liquid liner after the shadow. Use mascara after every thing else. The trick to mascara is to apply it slowly and carefully, close to the mirror so you can see what you are doing. The only way to get really nice lips is to apply the lipstick with a lip brush. It's amazing the differance. The other most important thing about making a beautiful face is knowing when to splurge on higher quality products. Estee Lauder makes the very best foundation and powder, and it's worth it. It may cost 30 $ but not only does it last for a couple years, you could leave it on for two days, party, sleap in it, still look pretty cute, and it will never break your face out. Cheap eyeshadows are fine, like say revlon, etc. But for the best colors, see the MAC counter, or black lady products like Black Radiance (at Sally beauty supply) for vivid colors at less cost. Fix it's: If you are doing really elaborate eyeshadow, you may want to just do the eyes first (base & powder them first!) and then do your face last, so you can wash off any loose powder from under your eyes. Or, if you screw up after you apply your foundation, it's often better to pat a little more base over it and some powder than to try to rub it off. If you are out, and eat or something, and need to fix your lipstick, it's better by far to wipe it all off and start over than try to put more over. Never leave home with out your lip brush and lipstick. If you wear bright red lipstick, use a brown liner under for the edges, then color it in red, it will look more natural. Pluck your brows really carefully. Fill in any blank spots with a color slightly lighter than your eyebrows. To darken them, use a shad just slightly darker, but go lightly. If you want your lipstick to last all night, it does work to color it in with a liner first and then paint it in with the brush, just find a nice soft liner though. Good tools are essential. Get a big package of those eyeshadow applicators, so you can use a different one for each color. Always apply powder with a brush. Get translucent powder, so it just sets your base and doesent add color. Then there are some extra goodies you may like. The best makeup is found at theatrical makeup stores (or sights). Ben Nye has a website and online catalouge. They make a light pink powder that you can use under your eyeshadow or instead of white, it's a lot lighter than regular white. They also make Aqua Glitter, which you can paint on your eyes or lips. Put it on in light layers, though, it tends to peel. The best secret makeup company is Mehron. They have a lot of special stuff, like metalic silver or gold, colors, etc. The theatrical makeup store is full of secrets. Look at pictures of makeup you like, and take time to notice, the blending and precision is what makes it work, and practice, practice, practice! Good luck & take care, Animal
