  1. don't cut it to short only water after the sun goes down. that should help.
  2. Eh no. Besides, coca cola is very expensive. There's a whole arsenal of tricks you can use to make your lawn grow better and look nicer ~ but it really just boils down to 1) applying fertilizer on a regular basis 2) watering it just the right amount 3) having the right type of grass for the amount of sunlight the area receives 4) letting the grass grow higher so it can put down deeper roots and 5) dropping the clippings to add mulch to the lawn. If your soil is pretty lousy, take a sample to a garden center and they can recommend ways in which you can improve the soil conditions of your yard since the quality of the soil is what really drives the health of a lawn in the first place.
  3. lime or some sort of firtilizer will help and when it gets dry out water it at night or early morning
  4. Cut your lawn on a higher setting, fertilize once in the spring and once in the fall and water at least one inch per week if you don't receive enough rain.
  5. pee in it, water it, don't cut it as much
  6. I know we use to water as soon as it got dark....but I later found out that this is bad for your lawn. The soil stays moist too long and promotes fungus growth which will kill your lawn. Water early..before 10am. Unless it's really hot where you live...only one inch of water last about 5 days. Don't water too often as this causes a shallow root growth...which dries out too quickly. It you don't have a good water sprinkler type gauge...use a cat food can. Place it on the lawn when you water yard....once the sprinkler has filled that can...that's enough water...move sprinkler to another area. I know time is a factor...but you don't have to water your whole yard in one day...water different areas each day. If you have a hard rain one week....you shouldn't have to water for at least a week after that. Set your mower blade to cut higher...a thicker lawn will actually need less water because it insulates the soil below to keep it from drying out.
  7. other than fertilizer, especially N, one think that may really help is epson salts sprinkled on the lawn before watering. just do part of the lawn so you can see how much it helps. the advise of watering early in the morning is correct, this gives the plants a change to dry during the day and use enough water so you have deep watering, at least 6 inches. you wont have to water as often and the roots will grow deeper rather than just spread out
