What is the best way to clean make-up brushes?

Good ole warm water and soap? Or is there a secret I don't know about?

4. The best way is to boil the kettle, let it cool for about 5 minutes, then pour the water into the sink. I wouldn't recommend soap, as it can stick to the brush, and the residue will show up on your skin when you use your brushes later. Just warm water should be fine. You can also buy solutions developed especially for cleaning make-up brushes. : ]
5. you are supposed to wash them with warm water and the same cleanser you use on your face so as not to have produt interactions
6. High-scale make-up stores sell brush soap, but personally I just use a good anti-bacterial pump soap that I use to wash my hands. It smells really good and works well for me. Just keep "shampooing" the brushes and rinsing until the water runs clear.
7. Smashbox makes a wonderful brush cleaner spray. It's very easy to use and works GREAT!!
8. I always use Dawn Antibacterial dish detergent. it' will disolve and remove any make-up that's on your brushes, and it kills bacteria too! =)
