Does anyone have any tips on setting up and running prom?
I'm my school's junior class president this year. One of the responibilties of the junior class president is to set-up and run prom. The only things set in place right now are where and when it is. Everything else is up to my discretion. I have never been to prom before, so I have no clue how it should go. Can anyone help me? It can be anything, from the signing up and paying, to the colors, to whatever.

- No, sorry. Try to get donations.
- dont have it be cheap or look cheezy. I can't stand that. and make sure that there is a wide range of music not just ONE kind. what's your theme?
- first fugire out a theme, then go from there. maybe take a class survey on what they would want.
- You could try this website...http://www.stumpsprom.com/partytipz.cfm?cat=3872
- try getting a prom committee together, people can join and give you ideas for a theme and then vote on the best one. when you pick it everyone gets a specific duty (decorations, DJ&entertainment, tickets, posters, ect ect).
- When I was growing up I felt that the problem was that it was NOT AT THE SCHOOL, it took away the "nostalgia" of the whole thing...like in SMALLVILLE how they have dances in the GYM, that's what it's all about ~ DANCE DANCE. If you can get a good band that might help, I know a lot of kids these days just like the whoel DJ thing...perhaps for part of it you have a band and the other part you have the DJ playing. www.pennstate.20fr.com
