Help with prom make up!?

I was wondering if anyone could suggest any prom make up tips. I have olive (medium) colored skin, dark brown eyes, & brown hair with blonde highlights. My prom dress is purple with hints of fuschia.

  1. i just go to the mall or store and get a make-over, just bring a picture of your dress and how your hair is going to be and then get it done
  2. well you wanna stick to the color of ur skin for eyeshadow or the color of your eyes. for people wit brown eyes, pink is the best color for them bcuz it brings out their eyes. so try pink or a light pink
  3. i would ask my mom i know i know sounds stupid but ya never know have fun @ the prom!!!!
  4. Dark purple lipgloss and mellow dark purple eyeshadow with a hint of sparkle.
  5. Wow your description of your self sounded just like me so this should be easy; to bring out your eyes where eye liner but not on your actual lid but underneath your eye lid, purple eyeshadow looks great with brown eyes and you have a purple dress, just don't where heavy purple eye shadow, you'll look like you got beat up. Then where some glitter on your eyes as well, go with a medium pink blush and powder and foundation that matches your skin. Wear a darker red lip stick with a clear lip gloss over it to make your lips look great. Also where covergirls lash blaster mascera it's cheap and it works great. Hope I helpped (=
  6. I'd do a Grey shadow on the crease with a highlight at the top maybe a tint of purple on the eye lid. Dark brown or Grey eyeliner. Mascara of course.
  7. I had a similar problem... I went to the make up department at a nearby mall and was able to find a make up professional to do my makeup for me for both my Junior and Senior proms. You could try the same thing. Find out if the make up department at a nearby mall is doing makeovers around prom. If you are lucky enough to schedule a make over before prom you can have someone do your make up sometimes at no cost. If not, you can have someone show you exactly what to do to best suit your dress and buy make up you can always use later.
  8. Eyes - smokey eyes with purple eyeshadow would be seriously amazing with your dress! And the result is incredible! v http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmFEeI1p92M Lips - nude/clear coloured lipglosses would be best. A lipgloss with slight tint of pink would be OK, too. Some brands I would recommend: MAC, Revlon, L'Oreal, Natural Collection, Maybelline, Juicy Tubes [Lancome] and No7. Try different things to see the things that suit you best. Good luck and have fun at prom! x
