Does anyone have any beauty tips for a bride to be?

Hi, I am 29 and I am getting married in October. I am eating well with plenty of fresh fruit and veg plus drinking more water and I am exercising regularly but I obviously want to look my absolute best on the day so if you've got any beauty tips for anything to do with hair, skin, body, makeup or anything at all that I could put into practise within the next six months, I'd love to hear about it!

  1. If you dont do it already, take time to go to yoga classes. they are fab and healthy and will help you to relax on the day tone you up and help you get into all sorts of wonderful positions
  2. Try a tatoo on the underside of your belly button with an arrow pointing downwards with the words "This way for fun" written underneath. The perfect finishing touch. x Best of luck (congratulations)
  3. congradulations!!!!!!!!!! weddings are beautiful!!!! well when my mom got married we looked through a bunch of hair magazines and put a hair do together like a bunch of different parts and add it all together ....it turned out great!! we also took her to a spa that morning and also took her to get her nails and toes done it was fun and she looked fabulous!!!!! have fun and good luck♄
  4. For all that you might be looking for on your wedding day, please make sure of two things: 1) Make sure you don't over do it. Make sure you still look like yourself. I know you want to look your best, but there have been many occasions where ladies just get carried away. 2) If you're going to try any kind of spa treatments, peels, anything that might be chemically related, DO NOT do this within the last weeks of your wedding. Especially if you've never had any kind of treatments like this done before, you might end up with a reaction you're unfamiliar with and end up damaging your skin before your big day. Otherwise, just do your best and enjoy your day!

  9. Ahhhh! I remember that period...so exciting! I planned all the beauty things from 6 months on too! Well, heres some words from my experience. I got facials every 5 weeks...but nothing too abrasive. Just simple facials, but not in the 2 weeks before the wedding. Also a light microdermabrasion helps. Maybe get one soon, then another a month or 3 weeks before the wedding. Dont cut your hair or try a new style. Wait until after the wedding, I learned that the hard way lol. Get your waxings the week before. It will give your skin time to rest before the big day. Start doing an all over body exfoliate once a week - itll make your skin glow. Anything cheap from the drugstore will do. St Ives apricot scrub is good, just dont rub too hard. Start getting monthly mani/pedis too and if this gets too pricey, you can do it yourself with olive oil and brown sugar! I love that. Go to different makeup places at your department stores. They will do trials runs with you for pretty cheap, or some even free. I ended up getting mine done at MAC and the woman came to the house the morning of the wedding and did my makeup, my moms, grams and my bridesmaids. You sound like youre doing great with the water and eating good. Oh - and no salt or alcohol the week before because it will bloat you. And most importantly, have fun and relax!!! It goes by soo fast and I wish I wouldnt have stressed so much :) Congratulations to you!
  10. For your skin follow the routine cleansing-toning-moisturising. Use a good cleansing milk and mix with some apricot and walnut scrub, massage gently to all exposed parts. Wash off with cold water. Do not use scrub more than twice a week. Use a toner to close pores after cleansing in upward direction. Use a herbal toner. If you have oily skin , u can also use an astringent. Butter and honey forms a natural moisturiser. Use a pack of sandalwood paste, milk, fuller's earth, neem paste, tulsi paste, honey every 15 days to get a soft supple skin. Shampoo ur hair on alternate days with a mild herbal shampoo. Use hot coconut oil massage twice a week. Apply Henna paste soaked in tea liquor to scalp. Wash after 1 hour. Use a pumise stone to remove dead cells of ur body and apply oil + moisturiser on alternate days to ur entire body. U can go in for a steam bath once a month.
