Are there any companies that rent trailers for moving other than uhaul?
I'm moving and looking to rent a closed trailer for one-way across Texas but the largest uhaul trailer is to small. Are there any other companies that rent them commercially?

- yes, Hertz is one. problem is finding pick up and drop off points that are reasonable
- Try Penske www.PenskeTruckRental.com Not sure about TX but we used them the last time we moved where I live.
- Ryder & Budget are the first two that come to mind.... www.budgettruck.com www.ryder.com www.pensketruckrental.com I found one more for you :) , hope that helps!
- Yes.. check into ABF (link below). They can drop a 28 ft trailer (or 2) in your drive, then pick it up and deliver within a couple of days. Be advised...this is a REAL trailer that is pulled behind a commercial truck, and as such, will probably cost you a bit more. I do not know the actual rates, you will have to call them.
- You will find few trailers for rent of any size. Because of people not having tow vehicles up to them . Liabilty issues There are trailers you can rent from trailer sales places but you would have to return them. rent a larger unit. Check ryder or the box storage places you load and they move. Good luck
- There are a few different ones. I guess it depends on your area, but here are a few web sites you can check: http://www.ryder.com/rental_truckspecs.shtml http://www.interstatetruckrental.com/ http://www.budgettruck.com/reservation/default.asp?partnerid=150 http://www.iypx.com/kdrt/clicktrack.asp?mbid=366 Hope that helps you out.
