  1. just go to a beauty school and study cosmetology
  2. I'm not sure of the exact details, but i do know that the start up kits are pretty expensive in beauty and hair. Try check it out on this site: http://www.ca.courses-careers.com/therapy.htm I hope this helps, Bethan xx
  3. cosmetology.
  4. You may need a cosmetology license depending on what state you live in. I would just go into a store that sells MAC and ask one of the beauty consultants what kind of training and schooling she has had. I am sure they would be willing to share.
  5. Next time you are at the make up counter you want to work at, you should ask the lady what courses she studied. Start by saying, I hope you dont mind me asking, but I would love to have a job like yours, how did you get into it? Give her some politeness, then flattery, then ask your question Obviously dont do it on a Saturday when they are busy. But Im sure that she would be more than happy to give you advice. Good luck!
  6. You don't need much experience to work at a department store makeup counter. Apply at Macy's, or whatever store is near you, and make a note that you are interested in working in cosmetics.
  7. I did my course in Dublin (as I have family over there and they didnt do a course near me) my course was based on make up artistry it lasted a year and a half it is hard work but worth it in the end I'd used my cousins (all boys) and my uncle as my models so I could train on I'm now a qualified make up artisrt and I love it so my advice go for make up artistry as beauty therapy forces more on facials/massages/waxing
