whats the essential tips for applying jobs? is there something wrong with my cv?

is there any essential tips for cv outlines etc? esp appying as policy analysis or bank? i find it very hard, even though i have a degree yet i dont get accepted for interviews, while my friend she doesnt have a degree and now works in a good job, and when i applied for that position i didnt get accepted. is there something wrong with my cv?

  1. what is a cv? Is that a resume? If you are older you are screwed. Maybe they do not like your name, or if you name is obviously a minority or foreign name they don't want you. I get the age thing all the time....Reread your resume to make sure everything is perfect, no typos. If age is the problem, try leaving the dates off your school so they can't see how old your are. That is all I can say...I'm unemployed so ....

Heading : Your name, contact #, address and email 2. Your objective 3. A small outline of your skills 4. Empolyment data - (Latest is in first) wich should inclued your post, name of the company with busines nature, location, Duration, job description 5. Information of project handled one by one 6. Technical skills 7. soft skills 8. education and ceretifications 9. Personal details 10. Passport details 11. reference if any This all should be there in CV in a proper mode.   3. Resume is like a product brochure. It should create interest in the product (candidate) in the mind of the buyer (employer) Keep in simple, short (two pages max) and clean. All the best.
