Tips and Advice on Eye Make-up?

Any tips and advice on asian eye make-up? Asian eyes meaning creaseless eyes. On top of that, there's a lot of a fat on the lid, which weighs down my lashes - making it appear as if the lashes are extremely short. Cover girl's tip is to draw a thick line, enough to become visible once the eye is open. Been doing this for a few years, it gets boring, what's worse, while blinking or looking downwards will reveal an extremely thick line, almost half a cm, a bit embarrassing. Help? the way i apply make is: draw an extremely thick line on top, visible enough to be seen open, with a wing. i apply just a slight touch of grey on top to blend. thick mascara on top and on the bottom lashes. i don't draw a line on the bottom, it doens't suit me well. this is my everyday routine. very ugly makeup application i know. please help me out! also, the reason for the thickness of lining and thick mascara, is because i seem to have a lot of skin on my lid, so its heavy on my eye, making me feel tired all the time - the thick mascara helps hold my lids up. i never ever leave the house without my eye make up no matter where i go.

  1. Im asian. and i totally hate the fact that my eyes are small seriously. So what i do is put eyeliner on the bottom lid (on the tear duct line) and i just put on mascara (totally brings out the eyelashes. Without it my eyelashes dissapear...literally) I dunno, it works for me. Makes my eyes apear bigger.
  2. Sure, use a liner on the water line, upper & lower, then to make your eyes look bigger, use liner on the outer part of the eye lid & lashes only --working in llight strokes, from the center outwards. If youre trying to make your eyes look lilke they do have creases. try the smoky eyes look, google video jug.com, it's great, & shows exactly step by step to do it. they'll tell you what i've told you about liner,or they Should. I have learned it from smashbox studios. it's great eye-liner!
  3. for eyes. you need a good eyelash curler. there's alot of curlers for asian women. try them out. 1. curl lashes. 2. apply a lengthening mascara. a good one is fibrewig, which has particles to build on eachother, making long lashes. 3. apply a volumising mascara. this will frame your eyes even more. 4. take a gold shimmer shadow. a crayon would be good to work with. gold is a good colour for you because you have yellow undertones. apply on the lid, very close to your lashes, you can make the line as thin or as thick as you want. by using gold, it will make your 'eyelids" pop out a bit more, opening up the eye. for your crease, use a highlight. a shimmery tone and apply on your crease, and jsut above. hope it helps! p.s, btw, don't go with eyeliner like it says above. this will CLOSE your eyes up a bit more, making your peepers looking all beady and smaller!
  4. i use UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion) i use it and i love it it helps the eyeshadow stick and it makes it better looking and it smells like honey
