make up???
okay. so with powder, how do I make it blend in and look natural? I use a good quality Clinique powder. It is my skin shade. But when I use it just sort of sits on my skin and doesnt blend. It looks un natural. How do I make it look natural? also.... mascara. Is there a good way to make it not clump. I read something about doing "zig zag strokes" but I dont understand what that means. Can anyone give me tips on a good, natural look? I want tips for applieing make up and what kind of make up to apply to make it look nice and natural.

- For mascara try brushing downwards on the lashes then upwards. and if you put eyeliner on your pink skin in your eye it blocks your oil glands and damages the eyes. Hope this helped xx
- You are doing the right thing by using shades that match your skin. When you apply your powder use a brush not the flat things that come in compacts. Make sure when you put the powder on your face isn't dry. It will make it look worse.
- The only real way to get mascara to keep from clumping is to by mascara that's clump-free. Other methods work for a little while, but the longer you keep a tube of the stuff, the clumpier it gets.
- i put lotion on after i apply my power, it makes you less dry and blends it. if you take off your mascara before you go to bed, and apply the mascara on with clean lashes then it shouldnn't clump, if it is it means you arw putting to much on, or need new mascara.
- don't use any - keep it natural
- Do you moisturise your skin before you put on your make up? That could be why the powder 'won't stick'. So take care of your skin regularly, wash, moisturise, and scrub once a week. Then, before you put on make up, moistures first so the skin is not dry. With powder you can either use a puff or a brush. With a puff, pat it on a few spots on your face then blend. so the powder spreads out evenly. With a brush, after you pick up the powder, tap it lightly so you won't get excess powder on your face. then brush it on your face. For mascara, a good trick I learned is to warm it up first by rolling the tube with my hands. Don't pump the wand but swirl it around the tube to reduce clump. Then just stroke as usual. I tried the zig-zag method, i can't make it work either. Basically, instead of combing your lash you apply it in zig-zag motion. But I've seen some women apply it that way and it works for them so I guess personal preference really. For a natural look, I like loose powder, use concealer to hide blemishes. Then a wash of light colour shadow, and apply brown or grey eyeliner. A coat of mascara, blush optional, then pink lipgloss. Just experiment with different colours to see what looks good on you.
- hello, if you want read something about makeup i just come accross this blog which may help you :-
- some powders come with a sude pad to apply it instead opt for a foundation brush to really blend. Mascarsa- mabelyine blackest black mascara dosent clump.sersiouly. other brands claim to not clump but this one is true is also condtions the lash as you apply it. this mascara really elongates the lash while thickening it.
- Cindy Crawford said before applying mascara you should roll it on a tissue - then only a small amount goes on. Means waste some mascara but comes out looking good. If powder isn't blending may need to reconsider what type of foundation you're using or find a foundation with which you wont need to use powder - had a similar problem when I was younger.
