My hair s*cks! Help!?
Okay, I have pretty much worn my hair the same way my whole life - long or very long. When I was a little girl it was pretty curly & thick, then used to pin-curl it myself all through high school. As I have aged, it has thinned & straightened significantly. I have always just put it in a bun for workouts & daytime wear (since high school). Anyway, I do not really like wearing it long anymore because it is thin & limp, but have had more than one person who loves me tell me the buns make me look like an old lady. Soooo, I am considering cutting it shortish (maybe #2, #16, #17, #19, #23, on the first page below OR #6 on the second page OR #2 on the 3rd page). Another complication: my face is practically a perfect circle, so that is a challenge. All advice appreciated. Thanks! http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.glam.com/short_hairstyle.shtml http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.glam.com/medium_hairstyles.html http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.glam.com/curly_hairstyle.shtml

- Make sure to consider your hair texture. The first 2 styles are unrealistic since your hair is naturally curly. Short hair could work on you, just make sure to get lots of layers so that it doesn't look like a big, round poufball. Your face is round so you want your hair to elongate your face. Talk to a hairdresser and they should be able to come up with something that works.
- Take your selections to the salon with you. Show them want you like and let them tell you which cut will go better with your face and hair type. Since we can't see you... we can't really give you great advice.
- i like #4 on the first site
- If you have a round face then you don't want to have a hair style that is to short. It will just exentuate it. You need something to give you a bit of length in your facial appearance. Try something like #4 or #12 in the first range of styles for medium length styles. The long bob is very in vogue at present, and layers are getting a bit passe. I am no a kid, and I have just had my hair cut into a long bob which is evidently called a pob! I agree it is silly to accentuate your age.Age comes along soon enough. But sometimes it is just that we are to busy with families or careers and don't have time to think about hairstyle changes. Or we get a bit comfortable with what we know. Good luck with your new look, what ever you decide to choose.
- Thin hair usually styles better short. Not too short though! i'd say between ear and shoulder length. Use a volumizing shampoo/condtitioner and styling was to give your hair volume and style.
