curly hair?

my hair is wavy... or something like it. i tend to straighten it all the time, cause its easier, but i want to experiment with curly hair. like this: http://www.paybest.com/jpg9/curly3.jpg, or this: http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/images/curly20.jpg my ques is this, is it hard to use a curling iron by urself to iron ur hair, and does it take a long time? how long do the curls stay? especially considering it's destroyed when u go to sleep, and have to brush it... it's sort of wavy... it's mostly wavy cause of pony tail marks. it's straight at the top, but waves at the bottom... so it's not really curly

1. You say that you tend to straighten your hair alot. Is it nautral curly? If so all you really need is some anti frizz cream and a good gel.wet it. gel it and scrunch it.
