Make Up Tips?

I'm just starting to wear make up. I wear lipgloss everyday but that's about it. I ocassionaly nick some of my sisters that she leaves in the bathroom but I need tips and I think I need to buy my own. I've got dark blonde hair, freckles, greeny bluish eyes and quite pale skin. I'm wanting some tips of what would go well. Here's a pic of me: http://file039b.bebo.com/15/large/2008/01/10/20/4077213794a6586006020l.jpg .I want something subtle that can be worn everyday and to school as well. My school uniform is navy with a green kilt. I don't really want to put on something like foundation over my whole face. I'd have to be able to apply it in about ten, fifteen minutes max. I don't know of any skin problems resulting from make up but I do have sensitive skin. Also I don't have unlimited funds so cheap is good. But that doesn't mean I want to compromise on quality. What make up should I wear, what makes should I use(UK available only) and what colour schemes should I go for?

  1. For cheap make-up, I always recomment L'Oreal products. They use more quality ingredients and they have beautiful colour pallets. For your skin type, you should try a tinted moisturizer with SPF. The moisture will make your face look dewy and fresh, while the tint in it will give you a hint of coverage. Also, you could try a brown or brown-black mascara and a pink cheek. Just swipe them on and keep it natural and fresh since you're still quite young. Also, you should go with a pink gloss or chapstick. Glosses sometimes run, but tinted chapsticks will moisturize, protect and also give your lips a natural pink look. Since you have sisters who wear make-up, ask them to help you!! Tell them you need their advice and their help for just a few minutes.
  2. Go for the purple range going into blue. Most schools lets you wear eyeshadow and lip gloss so id say best to stick to those two as too much takes a lot of time.
  3. i have similar features to you, pale skin, freckles same coloured eyes.. i'd go for foundation (max factor mousse recommended) with some blusher..dark redish. then loads of mascara. Or eyeliner on top of your eyelids.. smaller than amy winehouse's but same shape. make sure do NOT put tooo much foundation on, you look chavvy if you doo. if your not putting the eyeliner on, just put some pale peach eyeshado on, and a LITTLE mascara.. lots makes your eyes look boulder thoughh..
  4. keep your skin clean, invest in a decent moisturiser, just wear a little eyeliner smudged. thats all you need to brighten your face. less is best for young skin
  5. Since you want a basic look, i am going to reccomend some pencil brown eyeliner, some neutral eyeshadow, and some blush. I don't think you should use cheap products, especially since you have sensitive skin. The best brand of makeup you cn use is MAC cosmetics at maccosmetics.com For eyeliner, I reccomend powerpoint in stubborn brown. http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15103&PRODUCT_ID=PROD6290 The reason this would be good for you is because it is soft, easy apply, and very versatile. You can also use it for an eyeshadow for more of an evening look if you smudge it with a q-tip or your finger. Next, i reccomend a shadestick in shimmersand, which is a brilliant nuetral color that will look fabulous with your blue-green eyes. The reason this is good for you is because it comes in stick form so you will not need a brush or any sort of applicator, you just apply it directly to your lid and blend with your finger. If you ever want to wear more eyeshadow in the future it can also be used as a primer, which means it will make other eyeshadows more vibrant and long-wear. http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15103&PRODUCT_ID=PROD6290 For blush, Powder blush in Blushbaby is a great color that works on fair and medium skin tones. It will give you a little bit of a rosy look without making you look like a clown. There are many different blush brushes that will work just fine for a light application on the apples of your cheeks. http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15104&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1460 And, I can't forget mascara! Mascara is the one thing that differs little in the drugstore department and quality makeup. Since you don't want to spend a lot of money, i reccomend Define-a-lash by Maybelline, which is about seven dollars. This may sound like a really costly ordeal, but if you ollow my reccomendations you robably won't regret it.
  6. I've only just started properly wearing make up too, At the moment I'm really into liquid eyeliner. Get a glitter one which will go well with your uniform, you will have to practise to get it to look good. Just a simple bit of glitter liquid eyeliner above your eyelid will look fab, and it's really fashionable! CHeap brands are 2true, miss sporty and Collection 2000! GOOD LUCK Hope you find something.... xxx <33
  7. MASCARA AND EYELINER i love it. i wear black and at the same time, though its not suitable for school. My teacher is always threatening to ring home because i rebel XD anywhooo... erm i love natural collection and barry m as they are both good quality and resonabily priced concidering we're nearly always out of pocket. You might want to start off by using brown eyeliner and mascara as it will look more natural and be alot more suitable for usage at school. The colour would also complement your eyes. As you can see I tend to wear pretty dark dramatic makeup. (My icon) Hope it helps, if you want any more advice feel free to email me :)
