- The best thing you can do for your skin is drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen. Excercise. Water and excercise help promote blood circulation, bringing oxygen and moisture to the surface. No amount of makeup or hair products will cover up the fact that your skin and hair are not getting enought nutrients. As someone who's coming up to 40, I'm aware of the damage I've done to my own skin - I looked good then, but have a lot of work to do to keep my skin looking good for the next 40 years.
- this tip is to take heavy eye makeup off (waterproof and other wise). Olive oil is awesome for removing eye liner, mascara, and dark eyeshadow. and it's good for dry skin w/o being too greasy.
- Everything that sheloves... said, and also try to find a good moisturizer. If you're short on time, a quick make-up trick: mascara, lip-gloss, and a little bronzer on your cheeks. It will brighten your face up a little.
- It's ok to wear makeup to ENHANCE and bring out what you already have. It is NOT for creating a fake face mask over your face. For dark circles, cucumber's don't work unless the dark circles are puffy. Instead lay potato peels on the dark circles for about 20 minutes, and that will help them go away. You will see results with this in about 2 weeks. Don't use any night-cream for your dark circles, unless you're atleast 23 yrs old. Never ever sleep with makeup. It is soooo bad for your skin. Even just eyeliner and mascara, can really affect your eyelids. If you know how to, you should try making the dark circles less noticable with some Covergirl liquid foundation. Stay away from it if you don't know how to do it, though. If glasses look good on you, get non prescription glasses. You can get the $2 from Target or you can get the $100 from Juicy Couture or Chanel or Prada. Doesn't matter. Get rectangular shaped glasses with a thin frame around it, to distract from your dark circles. Make sure your eyebrows are well shaped. That can really open up the eyes.
- There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known. http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11/27/causes-of-dark-circles/ If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions: Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles. http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2007/01/01/special-spa-home-remedy-to-reduce-dark-circles/ http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com .. tips on how to reduce dark circles, the causes of dark circles, home remedies, eye creams reviews, make up tips, and natural healer.
