  1. when applying foundation put it on a small sponge with a bit of moisturiser on it - makes it go on better and look less "cakey"
  2. Before applying lipstick/gloss, put some lipchap on your lips before. Not only does it moisturize and protect your lips, but it also helps the lipstick/gloss stick better =)
  3. for a nice glow on your eyes, put some vaseline on top of your eyeshadow. Apply mosterizer (if your skin is dry or normal) before applying foundation, use some clear mascara as brow gel to keep stray brows in place! use white eyeliner to make your eyes look bigger. natrual is in! wash your face every morning and night! a great expoliant is 3/4 cup of milk with 4 spoonfuls of sugar then mix em!! works like a charm
  4. Hey! Okay - My 'not so secret anymore' makeup tips! : Lips - if chapped or dry use an old toothbrush and wet your lips with water and brush the dead skin away! Then apply vaseline/ lip balm - To make the lips look bigger, use a lip pencil in the closest shade to your natural lip colour and trace around edge of your lips and blend in using your fingertips and then apply vaseline. (Gives the illusion your lips are naturally bigger) Nose - If you want to make a wide nose look thinner use a glowly foundation and line it down the middle/centre of the nose and blend downwards. Gives the illusion your nose is thinner. - For big noses...using bronzer brush it down the middle of the nose and blend! (creates a light shadow in the middle of the nose which then highlights around the nose because this will be lighter taking the 'limelight' off your nose! Eyes - To make eyes appear bigger...use eyeliner underneath your bottom lid and use white eyeliner in the inside of your lid. Dont apply mascara to your bottom lids. - To make eyes appear smaller...use eyeliner in your inner lid. Stay away from using eyeliner on the outside of your eye because this will only add to it making it look bigger in general. - To brighten up tired dull looking eyes (espically the day after a night out!) use white eyeliner on you inner lids and in the inner corner of you eyes. Also apply vaseline on lids (replacing eyeshadow). Eyebrows - To make your eyebrows appear higher or more arched, or if you need to pluck your eyebrows but dont have time!...use a shimmer/highlighting cream and apply under the eyebrow. Some general tips too: If you dont want to look like your wearing makeup but cant bear to go without - use a light powder and apply with a brush. This will give coverage whilst still looking natural! Some brushes get runined when you try to wash them. This will sound mad but my aunt who is a make up artist told me this and it works a treat for cleaning my big powder brushes...use a hairdryer and it sweeps out remaining powder etc without ruining the brush! - Always carry a brush and blusher...no matter what people say, blusher always fades no matter the make. So for a quick fix up always carry these...instantly refreshes and brightens the face! In addtion some rituals i sware by: - When using facial washes etc always use hot water to open the pores, use the facial wash, then use cold water which will rinse the product out the pores then close them. - Always use moisturiser daily - i love olay! It works best for my skin! If you can try use it twice a day - morning before makeup and of a night before you go to bed! - Try to use vaseline daily on lips - best thing ever for them! I dont like the texture of it really or the shiny look (prefer the natural look) but i put it on before i go a bed and my lips are always smooth! - Before painting nails wash them in cold water for 30 seconds it hardens your nails so its easier to paint on them! - Another beauty tip that i find very true is that after you have washed your hair with shampoo and then condition it, rinse the conditioner off with cold water! Its freezing but its worth it! Makes your hair super shiny - does something to the hair cuticles i think cant exactly remember but it does! Hope this helps hun! x
